Interfaith Action volunteers staff several soup kitchens operating in the Evanston area. For a complete list in PDF format of soup kitchens and warming centers and shelters in the Evanston area, including those sponsored by other individual faith communities, click HERE.

These Soup Kitchens are all run by teams. That is, a group (from a faith congregation, or any business, community, educational, or social group) does the following: Plans, purchases, prepares, serves and cleans up a hot meal for 115 people at the site. (Friday noon at First Congregational is a bag lunch meal.) Individuals who aren't connected to a group can get on a list of volunteers who are able to help out a team if they are short-staffed.
Both teams and individuals are really important! Please contact Interfaith Action at (847) 475-1150 to volunteer.
