I am deeply honored to help lead Interfaith Action, which I have found to be an organization that constantly works to discern ways to bring people together to answer the needs of others in our community.
We know full well that life has led many of our neighbors to lose their homes or struggle to afford food. Our staff and volunteers display inspiring generosity of spirit and show impressive respect for the people that they serve. Right now, as an organization, we face some very clear challenges:
• To help our faith communities better understand the needs of our neighbors and learn how to serve them.
• To effectively advocate for affordable housing and better services for the poor.
• To appropriately expand our direct services caused by governmental budget cuts.
I look forward to working on these issues with you and to a deepening relationship with our clients and members and to our continued sharing, growth, and service in our community.
